All good adventures start with a party.
A good send off in Truro Cathedral. We all spoke as did Bert Biscoe and Luci Issacson, and Canon Lynda blessed the journey.
A ride around town to the station in company with Laurence Reed of BBC Radio Cornwall.
A stunning hunk of apple cake in Flourish cafe with Jenna and Luci.
A move down the road to The Old Ale House for a last pint of Skinners and a pasty before leaving Cornwall.
An encounter with Oliver Baines there who was one of those responsible for the 2009 Cornwall Gig to the Canals of Copenhagen for COP15, and also Truro Mayor John Tamblin who invited us to hold a welcome back event when we returned – more anon.
Lots of random conversations with strangers stopping us in the street to ask about the Climate Vision Cyclist on our hi-viz tabards, and then wishing us well and applauding what we are doing.
Now on a train to Plymouth for the ferry to Roscoff. Weather looks okay so looking forward to a good night’s sleep courtesy of Brittany Ferries who have come up trumps and donated the tickets. Thanks guys, we already know from experience that your service for cyclists is excellent and good to have you supporting the Climate Vision initiative.
